Hoosiers Travel to Tempe for Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After a handful of distance runners opened the 2018 outdoor track and field season last week, the rest of the Indiana University track and filed team will open their spring season at the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge, hosted by Arizona State on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24.
The Hoosiers will be represented by a group of 40 athletes at the Sun Angel Stadium to face off against Nebraska, Michigan and Penn State from the Big Ten, and Arizona State, California and Colorado from the Pac-12. The SEC will be represented by one team, LSU.
Day one of competition will feature the season debut of Andrew Miller and Nycia Ford in the hammer throw. The women are scheduled to start at 4:00 pm ET with the men following around 5:30 pm ET.
Day two of competition will welcome back All-American Willie Morrison in the field and Cooper Williams on the track, neither competed during the indoor season. Morrison will compete in the discus and the shot put, where he currently holds the school record with the mark of 19.69m (64'7.25"). Khayla Dawson will also compete in the discus and shot put Saturday afternoon.
Saturday's action for Indiana will begin on the track with the 100m hurdles at 8:20 pm ET with Zykeria Williams and Jenna Jungels. A full list of Hoosiers scheduled to compete, including events and times, can be found in the attached documents.
