• Indiana (16-5) travels to Indiana State for a midweek game on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
• Wednesday will be the 110th ever meeting between IU and ISU, as the two squads met twice last year, with each team earning a victory.
• IU leads the all-time series between the two schools, 63-45-1.
• Indiana Head Coach Chris Lemonis is in his fourth season leading the Hoosier baseball program and his 24th overall year in coaching. He has posted a 117-77-2 record and has led the program to two regional at-large bids in his first three seasons.
• Indiana State head coach Mitch Hannahs is in his fifth season at the helm of the Sycamores baseball program. Hannahs returned to his alma mater in 2013 to become the 29th head coach of the ISU program.
• The Hoosiers entered the week ranked in all six polls. IU is ranked 11th by D1Baseball.com, 15th by the NCBWA, 16th in the USA Today Coaches Poll, 17th by Collegiate Baseball, and 18th by Perfect Game and Baseball America.
• Indiana has played just two games in the last 10 days entering Wednesday's contest. The Hoosiers split a doubleheader at Iowa on Friday, before Sunday's series finale was cancelled due to weather.
• IU had a seven-game winning streak snapped in the second game of the doubleheader at Iowa on Friday. It marked the second, seven-game winning streak for the Hoosiers this season.
• Entering this Tuesday junior Logan Kaletha has reached base in 19 straight games and junior Matt Lloyd has reached in 17 straight.
• Offensively, Indiana is second in the Big Ten in home runs (21) and slugging percentage (.445), third in on base percentage (.376), fourth in doubles (43), and fifth in batting average (.279) and total bases (305).
• The IU pitching staff is first in the Big Ten in ERA (2.76), runs allowed (69), earned runs allowed (57) and fewest walks (60).
• The 16-5 start for the Hoosiers is their best 21-game start since 2013, when that squad opened the year going 17-4.
