Indiana’s three-game weekend begins at No. 6 Arizona State
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – On the heels of a 3-1 home stand in last weekend's Indiana Classic, the Hoosiers head make their final trip west to the Sun Devil Invite at Arizona State University. Indiana looks to rebound from their CWPA loss to No. 13 Hartwick, a 13-11 shootout at Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center, but the Hoosiers' upcoming slate is full of teams either ranked or receiving votes in the top-25 poll.
The weekend begins with No. 6 Arizona State, Indiana's third true away game of the year, followed by their first-ever game against Pomona-Pitzer. A rematch with No. 25 Fresno State ends the Hoosiers' varsity action on Sunday, but they'll play exhibitions against the Sun Devils and Bulldogs that afternoon.
Saturday's opener with the Sun Devils will stream live on the Pac-12 network, but live stats will be available for all three IU games this weekend.

The Hoosiers pushed their home record to 7-1 on the season with a solid weekend in the Indiana Classic. IU dropped their conference opener to No. 13 Hartwick but rebounded with three wins, holding two opponents to three goals apiece. Megan Abarta (7 goals, 5 assists) and Joelle Nacouzi (4 goals, 7 assists) led Indiana's attack, with Nacouzi setting a career-high 5 assists against Marist. Jennifer Beadle found a hat trick against the Red Foxes, raising her team-leading goal total to 30 this year.
Top Class
With Sarah Myers netting her 100th career goal against Marist last Sunday, the Hoosiers achieved a huge team milestone. All four field players in the IU senior class have scored 100 or more goals in their careers. Sarah Young (106) crossed the century mark last weekend while Jennifer Beadle (129) did so at the start of the year. Kelly Matthews (230) had 100 goals halfway through her sophomore season and ranks fourth on Indiana's all-time scoring leaderboard.
The fifth IU senior, Jessica Gaudreault, has the IU goal on lockdown this season. Gaudreault (852) has the third-highest save tally in program history.
Good to Have Options
Indiana's balanced offense has led to their success at this stage in the season. Over their last 10 games, the Hoosiers have seen four players score 10 or more goals. Sarah Young leads the charge with 20 in that span, followed by Jennifer Beadle with 19. Megan Abarta, in a breakout sophomore campaign, has 14 goals over her last 10 games and leads the Hoosiers with a .522 shot percentage (min. 20 shots).
Saturday with the Sun Devils
Indiana faces their third top-10 game of the season and second against No. 6 Arizona State to start the weekend. The Sun Devils came away with the victory, 10-3, on IU's season-opening weekend at the UCSB Winter Invite. Arizona State leads the all-time series, 9-3.
The Sun Devils split four games against the top 15 last weekend in Irvine, California, picking up wins over No. 11 UC San Diego and No. 7 UC Irvine.
Back Against the Bulldogs
Another familiar opponent from the UCSB Winter Invite, No. 25 Fresno State, awaits the Hoosiers on Sunday morning. Indiana won that game, Fresno State's first as a varsity program, with a 12-6 result. Jennifer Beadle scored 4 goals to cross the career century mark while Kelly Matthews provided a signature hat trick.
