BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team lost a close doubles point and could not come up with enough wins in singles as they dropped a 6-1 match against Nebraska on Sunday at the IU Tennis Center.

The Hoosiers (14-7, 2-4) started the weekend with a comeback victory as the beat Iowa 4-3.

On Sunday Nebraska struck first by winning the No. 3 doubles match 6-2. The No. 2 doubles match went to a tiebreaker where the Huskers took it 7-6 (8-6).

Madison Appel put the Hoosiers on the board with a 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5) victory at No. 1 singles.

Up next the Hoosiers continue their home slate as they host Purdue and DePaul next weekend.
