Receveur Named Big Ten Athlete of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After finishing second overall in the 1,500m at the Tennessee Relays this past weekend redshirt junior Katherine Receveur has been named the Women's Big Ten Track Athlete of the week, announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Louisville, Ky. native collects her fourth career (3 indoor, 1 outdoor) Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week title after she ran a personal best time of 4:16.19, which is the second fastest time in school history. Receveur currently has the second fastest time in the Big Ten and the sixth fastest time in the nation.
Receveur and 13 other middle distance and distance runners will head west to Stanford, Calif. to compete in the Cardinal Classic on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21. The Hoosiers also have a group of five athletes traveling to the War Eagle Invitational. The preview for those meets can be found here.
