Indiana Moves Up Two Spots on Final Day of Big Ten Championship

BALTIMORE, Maryland – On the final day of the Big Ten Championship at the Baltimore Country Club, the Indiana men's golf team registered a team score of 298 to move up two spots and finish 12th.

Sophomore Brock Ochsenreiter continued to be the top individual performer for IU, using a final round 74 to finish tied for 22nd at 7-over par (217). Ochsenreiter played his first nine holes – the back nine – in 4-over par and then posted a double bogey on his 12th hole to sit at 6-over for his round. But he was able to recover over the last six holes with two birdies and four pars.

The best final round score for IU came from Evan Gaesser, as he finished the day 3-over par after recording a double bogey on his final hole to negate his team-high four birdies on the day. For the tournament, he finished tied for 51st at 15-over par with rounds of 78-74-74.

Also finishing tied for 51st at 15-over par were Brendon Doyle and Jake Brown after they logged final round scores of 74 and 77, respectively.

Freshman Ethan Shepherd carded a 79 on Sunday to finish the tournament in 68th place at 26-over par.

The teams and individuals that will be selected for NCAA Regional play will be announced on Wednesday, May 2 live on the Golf Channel at 6 p.m. ET.
