Hoosiers Improve By 11 Strokes In Round Two of Cougar Classic

After opening with a team score of 301 in round one, the Hoosiers trimmed 11 shots off that total in round two to finish with a 36-hole score of 591 (+15) at the Cougar Classic hosted by the College of Charleston.
The tournament was scheduled to be a 54-hole event, but was shortened to 36-holes after mandatory evacuations were issued for the state of South Carolina starting on Tuesday.

• Senior Erin Harper birdied two of her final four holes to polish off a 2-under 70 in round two. That gave her a total score of 142 (-2) and a tie for 22nd. It marks her 17th career Top 25 finish. Her final round featured three birdies, one bogey and 14 pars.
• Freshman Alexis Miestowski finished her first collegiate tournament with a score of 148 (75-73; +4) to tie for 48th in the 102-person field.
• Sophomore Angela Aung also tied for 48th at 4-over par after her second-round score of 72. She was steady throughout round two, registering two birdies and two bogeys.
• Graduate transfer Kari Bellville, making her debut for the Hoosiers after transferring from Notre Dame, rebounded from an 82 in the opening round to card a 75 in round two. She tied for 94th at 13-over par.
• Sophomore Priscilla Schmid closed the tournament with a 78 in round two to tie for 92nd at 12-over par.
