The Indiana women's golf team began the day with a score of 289 in the first round of the Mary Fossum Invitational, putting them in a 3-way tie for second place. But after a second-round score of 301, the Hoosiers fell back to seventh place at 14-over par (590).
TAP-INS
• For the second straight tournament, senior Erin Harper is pacing the Hoosiers efforts. She opened with a 2-under round of 70 that featured three birdies and one bogey. Round two was a bit more of a roller coaster with four birdies and four bogeys before a double bogey on the 16th hole put her at 2-over for the round. Her total score of 144 (Even) has her tied for 11th place.
• Sophomore Angela Aung continued her improved play early in the 2018-19 season, opening with a 1-under round of 71 in the morning, highlighted by three birdies in four holes on the back nine. Her afternoon round saw just one bogey on her way to a73 (+3). She is tied for 22nd with a score of 146 (+2).
• For Alexis Miestowski, she used an eagle on the par 5 17th hole to post a score of 1-over par 73 in round one. Then in round two, she carded a 78 to sit in a tie for 40th at 7-over par.
• Graduate transfer Kari Bellville is tied for 46th with a total score of 152 following rounds of 75 and 77.
• Sophomore Mary Parsons, making her season debut, also logged rounds of 77 and 75 to tie for 46th with a total score of 152 (T46)
