
No. 2 Hoosiers Open Big Ten Play at Wisconsin on Sunday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 2-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team will open Big Ten play against Wisconsin on Sunday, Sept. 16.
The match at the McClimon Soccer Complex is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. ET start and will be broadcast live nationally on the Big Ten Network. Fans can also watch a live stream of the match on BTN2Go.com. Live stats are available at IUHoosiers.com.
SETTING THE SCENE
• The No. 2-ranked Indiana Hoosiers will head north to face Big Ten rival Wisconsin on Sunday, Sept. 16 in Madison, Wisc.
• The Hoosiers enter the match riding a five-game win-streak that includes wins over four ranked opponents - North Carolina, Dartmouth, UConn and Notre Dame.
• On Tuesday, the Hoosiers earned a hard-fought win at No. 8 Notre Dame, 2-1, in overtime. Justin Rennicks scored the match-winner in the 93rd minute after A.J. Palazzolo tied the game in the 79th.
SCOUTING THE BADGERS
• The Wisconsin Badgers enter Sunday's match with the Hoosiers with an overall record of 2-3-1 on the season.
• Last Sunday, the Badgers battled Bradley to a 0-0 draw in Peoria, Ill.
• Wisconsin has wins this season over Hartford and Valparaiso.
• In a preseason poll conducted of the league's coaches, Wisconsin was tabbed to finish fifth in the Big Ten.

• Indiana earned the team's fourth win over a ranked opponent on Sept. 11, beating No. 8 Notre Dame, 2-1, in overtime in South Bend.
• After falling behind in the 71st minute, A.J. Palazzolo headed home the equalizer for IU in the 79th.
• In overtime, Justin Rennicks scored the match-winner in the 93rd minute to give Indiana the win.
• The win was the first for Indiana in South Bend since Nov. 25, 2012.
INDIANA BLASTS VCU, 5-0
• The Hoosiers had a tremendous showing against Atlantic 10 power VCU on Sept. 7, beating the Rams, 5-0, on goals from five different players.
• The five goals in the first half for the Hoosiers were the most since IU netted five in the second half in a 5-0 win over Cal State Northridge on Sept. 16, 2005.
• The Hoosiers had five different goal scorers in the win and had 11 players take the team's 12 shots. In total, 21 players saw the pitch for Indiana in the victory.
THREE-STRAIGHT
• Indiana posted three-straight, shutout victories against ranked opponent for the first time since 2012.
• IU beat No. 3 North Carolina (1-0), No. 22 Dartmouth (3-0) and No. 18 UConn (1-0) during the stretch.
