Four Hoosiers Nab National Best Marks On Final Day of Jim Green Invite

Lexington, Ky.— Indiana Track & Field saw four new national leaders in Haley and Kelsey Harris, Kyle Mau, and Cooper Williams in the final day of the Jim Green Invite host by the University of Kentucky.
The Hoosiers continued to show their strength in mid-distance events as they took the top spot in the men's and women's mile and 800m. Kyle Mau clocked a time of 4:01.63 in the mile which is the fastest time in the NCAA so far this season. Haley Harris got things done on the women's side as she also became the national leader with a time of 4:45.94.
Cooper Williams snagged first in the 800m in a time of 1:49.09. His time is the fastest in the country thus far. Kelsey Harris joined her sister as a national leader when she ran 2:06.93 in the 800m.
Indiana saw two student-athletes record new personal records on Saturday. Derek Grimmer set a new personal record in the 400m with a time of 48.73. Adam Coulon also saw a PR in the pole vault with a height of 5.52m (18' 1.25").
Natalie Price competed in the 400m where she notched second in a time of 54.73. Price's time is the seventh best in the nation. The sophomore also saw a fourth-place finish in the 200m by clocking a time of 24.43
In the final track event of the Jim Green Invite, the women's 4x400 team secured a third place finish with a time of 3:48.74. The relays team was comprised of Riley Egbula, Kelsey Harris, Mallory Mulzer, and Natalie Price.
In field events, Maddy Pollard picked up a third finish in the shot put with a distance of 16.14m (51' 11.5"). Leah Moran also placed third in the triple jump after notching a distance of 12.20m (40" .5"). Anna Watson and Kara Deady both competed in the pole vault for the Hoosiers. Watson placed fourth after clearing 3.90m (12' 9.5") on the first try. Deady picked up sixth after clearing the same height on her second attempt.
On the men's side of field events, Willie Morrison picked up a fifth-place finish with a distance of 18.64m (61' 2") in the shot put.
Next, the Hoosiers will return home to host the Gladstein Invite. The two day meet begins Friday Jan 18 at 3:30 p.m. inside Gladstein Fieldhouse.
