Indiana University is in its 119th season of competition in men's basketball. The Hoosiers are ranked 25th in the AP Poll and 25th in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Hoosiers will look to snap a three-game losing streak after falling to Nebraska, Monday night. Purdue has won two in a row after beating Rutgers at home, 89-54.

Indiana Coach Archie Miller is in his 2nd season of guiding the Cream and Crimson. He has a 28-20 record and 12-12 ledger in the Big Ten since taking over the Hoosiers. He is 167-84 in 7-plus years as a head coach, which includes 6 years at the University of Dayton. His Flyer teams made NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his last four seasons, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2014. Matt Painter is in his 14th year with Purdue.

Senior forward Juwan Morgan and freshman guard Romeo Langford were selected to the 10-member Preseason All-Big Ten team. Both are among 50 players listed as candidates for the 2019 Naismith Trophy and Langford is among 20 players on the NABC Player of the Year watch list and 25 players up for the Wooden Award. Langford was named third-team Preseason All-American by ESPN.com and CBSSports.com and earned fourth-team honors from WatchStadium.com. Morgan also is up for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award.
Langford leads the conference in scoring in league games only averaging 21.3 points per game. He had 28 point efforts against Illinois and Maryland earlier. He is the only Hoosier to score in double digits every game and has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week four times, including this week. He also is 3rd among Big Ten players with 122 free throw attempts this season. Among the 388 players in Division I to take at least 50 shots at the basket in half-court settings, he ranks 1st in finishing efficiency at 78%. (per Synergy)
Morgan earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors and USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week accolades after his record-setting 35-point effort against Butler. He has scored 1,111 career points and is 4th in th B1G in double-doubles with 6.

IU's 29.8% 3-point field goal defense would be the second best mark a Hoosier team has posted since the 1996-97 season. The 2002-03 squad held opponents to 29.4% and the 2013-14 team posted a 29.9% defense.
Freshman guard Rob Phinisee is the first Lafayette native and scholarship recruit for IU since 1948. He has started 12 games and averaged 6.5 points.

Senior Juwan Morgan joined an elite group of active collegiate players with a blocked shot against Central Arkansas on Dec. 19. He is one of 11 ACTIVE players in the country to amass the following career totals (Morgan's totals):

Morgan had the second triple-double in program history (Steve Downing vs. Michigan, 1971, 28-17-10 blocks) with 10 points, 10 boards and 10 assists against Jacksonville. He is the Hoosiers first forward or center ever to notch 10 assists in a game.
