
Hoosiers Fall at #18 Purdue, 18-11

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.– Senior Jake Danishek earned a victory over a top-10 opponent, but the Hoosiers fell 18-11 to #18 Purdue on Friday at Mackey Arena.
Notes
• Indiana drops to 4-8 overall and 1-4 in the Big Ten. Purdue improves to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in Big Ten action.
• The Hoosiers won four bouts in the dual.
• Senior Jake Danishek beat #6/#12 Griffin Parriott in a 6-4 decision. The win marks the 15th win of the season for Danishek.
• With the bout tired 4-4, Danishek got a takedown with 17 seconds left in the final period to secure the 6-4 decision.
• Following the decision for Danishek, fellow senior Bryce Martin won by decision 6-2. For Martin it was also his 15th win of the season.
• Fernie Silva and Fletcher Miller also won bouts for the Hoosiers. Miller improves to 3-1 in dual matches on the season.
• The Hoosiers won three straight bouts from 149-165.
