BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team opened the winter/spring season in strong form at the IU Winter Invitational.

Notable
• Indiana combined to go 11-3 in singles competition and 15-3 in doubles competition.
• The doubles teams of Madison Appel/Jelly Bozovic and Natalie Whalen/Caitlin Bernard each recorded perfect 6-0 marks.
• Appel and Whalen, the two seniors on the team, each went 2-0 in singles to have a perfect record for the tournament.
• Appel was ranked No. 97 in singles by the first Oracle/ITA Division I Women's Rankings.
