ANN ARBOR, Mich.– The Indiana volleyball team came within three points of forcing a fifth set, but fell against No. 22 Michigan, 3-1 (12-25, 25-23, 19-25, 23-25) on Friday at Cliff Keen Arena.

- After Michigan took the opening set, 25-12, the Hoosiers jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the second set on a kill from Deyshia Lofton.
- Michigan worked back to tie the second set, 20-20, but Indiana scored four of the next six points to go up 24-22. After a Michigan kill, the Wolverines made a service error that ended the set for Indiana, 25-22.
- With Michigan up 13-8 in the third set the Hoosiers used a 4-0 run and got within one at 13-12 on a solo block from Hayden Huybers.
- Leading 18-15 Michigan went on an 4-0 run to increase their advantage to 22-15. Indiana responded with a 4-0 run of their own and cut it to 22-19 with a kill from Kamryn Malloy. Michigan scored the final three points of the set to win it, 25-19 and take a 2-1 lead in the match.
- The Hoosiers got five straight kills to open the fourth set and a 5-0 lead. Huybers and Megan Sloan each had two kills in the run.
- An Emily Fitzner kill in the fourth set put the Hoosiers up 15-11.
- With Indiana up16-12 in the fourth set, Michigan used a 6-0 run to go up 18-16.
- With Michigan up 20-17 in the fourth set, Indiana scored three straight to tie it, 20-20.
- At 21-21, Michigan scored two straight to go up 23-21. Indiana closed it to 23-22 on a kill from Jacqui Armer, but Michigan closed out the set with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.

- Kamryn Malloy led the Hoosiers with 18 kills and Hayden Huybers notched 12 kills and hit .476 in the match.
- Deyshia Lofton collected five kills in the match and recorded her 900th career kill.
- Jacqui Armer hit .500 with eight kills and added two blocks.
