STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Indiana volleyball fell on the road at No. 8 Penn State (21-25, 13-25, 18-25) on Friday at Rec Hall.

Sophomore Breana Edwards led the Hoosiers (12-14, 1-12) with 12 kills in the match.

Senior Hayden Huybers tallied five blocks and freshman Emily Fitzner recorded 28 assists in the match. The Hoosiers had six different players record a block on the night.

Jacqui Armer hit .538 for the match with eight kills and one error on 13 swings.

Indiana closed to within two at 22-20 in the first set on a block by Huybers and Edwards. On a kill by Jacqui Armer they stayed within two at 23-21 until Penn State scored the final two points to win the opening set, 25-21.

After dropping the second set, 25-13 Indiana found themselves in another close set in the third, at 18-16. At that point, Penn State scored three straight to take control of the set and win it, 25-18 to win the match.
