Three Titles for Indiana Wrestling at UNI Open

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Three Indiana wrestlers earned first-place finishes at the UNI Open hosted by Northern Iowa on Saturday.

Kyle Luigs (141), Graham Rooks (149) and Fernando Silva (157) all won titles at the UNI Open.

Luigs won a 6-0 decision in his first bout, edged out a 10-7 decision in the semifinal and finished with an exclamation point with a pin in 4:29 over Rylee Molitor of South Dakota State in the final.

Rooks outscored his three opponents by a score of 26-7, including a 12-4 major decision over Gable Fox of Northern Iowa in the final.

Silva won a 5-4 decision and an 11-5 decision before edging Derek Holschlag of Northern Iowa in a 6-5 decision in the final.
