Hoosiers Conclude Competition at Alex Wilson Invite

NOTRE DAME, Ind.— Indiana Track & Field concluded competition at the Alex Wilson Invite hosted by the University of Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon.
Alexis Hill had another solid performance in the women's weight throw as she saw a distance of 19.46m (63' 10.25"). The freshman finished in fourth overall. On the men's side, Nick Lane notched second after seeing a distance of 19.29m (63' 3.5").
Willie Morrison led the Hoosiers in the men's shot put after throwing a distance of 19.34m (63' 5.5"). David Schall was also in action as he saw a distance of 17.75m (58' 3"). On the women's side, Khayla Dawson and Maddy Pollard went 1-2. Dawson notched a distance of 17.18m (56' 4.5") while Pollard threw the shot a distance of 16.42m (53' 10.5").
The women's DMR team consisting of Kelsey Harris, Natalie Price, Haley Harris, and Katherine Receveur took second with a time of 10:57.76. This is the sixth fastest women's DMR of the season so far.
Grace Walther ran a PR worthy mile as she clocked a time of 4:50.47 to place fourth overall. Arjun Jha ran unattached on the men's side of the mile as he placed sixth with a time of 4:13.38.
Four Indiana runners competed in the women's 800m. Mallory Mulzer led all Hoosiers with a time of 2:08.38 to place 6th overall. Finishing right behind her was Joely Pinkston as she clocked a time of 2:08.43. Claire Hamilton picked up a top-10 finish with a time of 2:09.13. Rounding out the field for the Hoosiers was Kelly Mindak who saw a PR in a time of 2:09.71.
Cooper Williams won the men's 800m crossing in a time 1:47.24. Jalen Royal clocked a PR in the event as he nabbed a time of 1:49.65 to take fifth.
Hunter Moore ran the 3000m unattached where he clocked a time of 8:32.22.
Up next, Indiana will head to Ann Arbor, Mich. to compete at Big Ten Championships on Feb. 22 & 23.
