Hoosiers Fall at No. 23 Kentucky

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 match on the road at No. 23 Kentucky on Sunday.

After they lost at No. 3 doubles, the Hoosiers came back to win at No. 1 doubles, 6-3 with Madison Appel and Jelly Bozovic. Kentucky would will at No. 2 doubles to earn the doubles point.

In singles Kentucky went up 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 1 spot. Bozovic came back from a 6-0 first set setback to force a second set tie breaker before eventually falling 6-0, 7-6.

Kentucky added a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles to clinch the match victory.

Up next the Hoosiers host a pair of opponents next week at the IU Tennis Center. On Saturday Feb. 23 Indiana will host Princeton and the following day the Hoosiers will welcome DePaul.
