Indiana Drops Series Finale to Tennessee, 5-3

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Indiana baseball (2-4) dropped a 5-3 decision to the Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Hoosiers held a 3-0 lead, but the Vols strung together five unanswered runs to earn the win.
Senior Cade Bunnell, senior Ryan Fineman and sophomore Cole Barr each homered in the contest.
KEY MOMENTS
• With one out in the top of the first, the No. 2 hole hitter Bunnell went opposite field with a solo home run to give the Hoosiers an early edge.
• Fineman followed with a leadoff home run in the top of the second inning to put Indiana up by two runs.
• Barr's solo home run came in the top of the fourth with one out to increase the lead to 3-0.
• Tennessee got on the board in the bottom of the fourth, as a defensive miscue at third led to an RBI groundout.
• The big hit for the Vols in this game came on a bases clearing double with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning by Andre Lipcius to put the home team up, 4-3.
• A two-out RBI single by Justin Ammons increased the lead to two runs in the bottom of the sixth.

• Bunnell's first inning home run marked his first career long ball in his Division I career.
