
Jeremy Rosenthal to Receive CoSIDA Rising Star Award

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Tuesday, that Jeremy Rosenthal, Indiana University Assistant Director of Media Relations will be recognized with the CoSIDA Rising Star Award. The award will be presented during this summer's annual convention in Orlando, Fla.
The Rising Star Award is presented annually to a university division and a college division member with 10 years of full-time service or less in the profession for service, dedication, energy and enthusiasm that make the individual a "rising star" in sports information.
"It is a great honor to receive this recognition," Rosenthal said. "I love my job at Indiana and the people I work with. I have incredible pride in being part of CoSIDA and have met so many great colleagues that have become friends and mentors."
Rosenthal is in his sixth year at Indiana and is the primary media relations contact for volleyball, wrestling and women's tennis. He is also the media relations liaison to the department of academic services and the excellence academy.
A 2010 graduate from Indiana University with a degree in Sport Communication, Rosenthal interned in media relations for the WNBA's Indiana Fever and worked as an Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at the College of Charleston in South Carolina.
Rosenthal has served on the CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee as a Vice-Chair. Over the last three years he has served as Project Chair for the CoSIDA/NACDA Charity 5K Run/Walk at the group's annual convention and helped raise over $14,000 for charity.
Rosenthal is a two-time Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest award winner and earned the 2015 American Volleyball Coaches Association Sports Information Northeast Region honor.
In addition to his work at Indiana University, Rosenthal has volunteered his time working the Women's Basketball Final Four, U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Track and Field and the PGA Championship.
