NOTES: Indiana Hosts #20/20 Iowa on Thursday

OPENING TIP
Indiana University is in its 119th season of competition in men's basketball. The Hoosiers are coming off a 79-75 overtime win at #6 Michigan State on Saturday which snapped a seven game losing streak. Iowa snapped a two-game losing streak by beating #5 Michigan, 74-59, last Friday in Iowa City.
THE COACHES
Indiana Coach Archie Miller is in his 2nd season of guiding the Cream and Crimson. He has a 29-24 record since taking over the Hoosiers. He is 168-88 in 7-plus years as a head coach, which includes 6 years at the University of Dayton. His Flyer teams made NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his last four seasons, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2014. Fran McCaffery is in his 8th year with the Hawkeyes.

IU is rated 44th in the NET. IU just closed a stretch where it had played 6-of-8 on the road from Jan. 6 to Feb. 2, and 7 of its first 11 league games on the road. IU finishes the season with 6 of 9 at home beginning with the Iowa game. Michigan State and Penn State have each played 12 Quadrant 1 games this season, while IU and Purdue have played 11.
Senior forward Juwan Morgan and freshman guard Romeo Langford were selected to the 10-member Preseason All-Big Ten team. Morgan also is up for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award.
Langford is the top freshman scorer in the conference averaging 17.4 ppg. He averaged 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds last week against Rutgers and Michigan State. He has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week 4 times. Morgan earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors and USBWA Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week accolades after his record-setting 35-point effort against Butler. He has scored 1,179 career points (39th all-time at IU) and is 4th in the B1G in double-doubles with 8. Prior to leaving the Michigan State game with a shoulder injury, Morgan averaged 16.3 points and 10.0 rebounds in his 3 previous games.
After ranking as high as 2nd in the nation in field goal shooting a few weeks ago, the Hoosiers have shot just 36.5% in their last 5 games. Langford, Morgan, and sophomore Justin Smith have started all 22 games for the Hoosiers. Smith is coming off his best all around game with the Hoosiers with 13 points and 10 rebounds, his third career double-double, and 3 key blocked shots, including a game-saving tip of Cassius Winston's potential game-tying layup with 3.4 seconds left in overtime.
The Hoosiers also were bolstered by the return of junior's Devonte Green (suspension) and De'Ron Davis (ankle). Green came off the bench against MSU and had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and made 3 of 4 3FG. Davis, who had only played 31 minutes in 6 games since December 19, played a season-high 25 minutes and posted more season-high's in points (12), rebounds (6) and assists (4) against the Spartans.
Sophomore Al Durham had 14 points against the Spartans and has averaged 12.5 points in his last 2 games.
