The Indiana men's golf team went 1-1 on the first day of the Big Ten Match Play Championship at Hammock Beach Resort Conservatory Course in Palm Coast, Florida. The Hoosiers lost a tight match to Michigan State, 3.5-2.5, to open the day but rebounded to defeat Minnesota by a 3.5-2.5 margin in the afternoon.

IU will play Penn State at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and then Rutgers at 1:30 p.m. to wrap-up the event in the consolation bracket.
