Postgame Notes
• Indiana (17-14, 8-12 Big Ten) won its fourth straight game and enters the Big Ten Tournament as the No. 9 seed.
• IU's 16-point margin is its second-largest conference win on the heels of its largest victory at Illinois (92-74) its last time out.
• The Hoosiers six turnovers are a season low, their third straight game in single digits and their sixth overall this season.
• Indiana shot 53.4 percent (31-of-58) from the floor, its 11th time over 50 percent this year.
• IU made 79.3 percent (23-of-29) from the free throw line, its third-highest total in 2018-19.
• Over the last two games, the Hoosiers are averaging 90.5 points per game and shooting 54.5 percent from the floor (67-of-123).
• Indiana held advantages in points off of turnovers (14-7), points in the paint (48-38), and fastbreak points (14-7).
• After falling behind 5-0, IU ripped off 27 of the next 33 points. Rutgers cut the margin to 10 (54-44) at the 15:44 mark before a 23-10 run lifted the Hoosiers to their largest lead of the afternoon at 77-54 with 6:59 remaining.
• The program recognized seniors Juwan Morgan, Zach McRoberts, Evan Fitzner, Johnny Jager and Quentin Taylor.
• Morgan led the team with 25 points, his sixth game this season with 20-plus points. He connected on his first 10 shots and finished 11-of-13 (84.6 percent). Morgan is 30th on the Hoosiers all-time scoring list with 1, 298 points, one point behind Tom Bolyard (1961-63). He added seven rebounds in just 22 minutes.
• True freshman Romeo Langford collected his 12th 20-point game with 20 to go along with six rebounds, two assists and a pair of blocks in a team-high 35 minutes. In all but three of the 31 games he has played, Langford has scored in double digits.
• Junior Devonte Green led all Hoosier scorers off the bench with 16 points, his third straight in double digits and ninth overall. He is averaging 13.3 points over the three-game stretch.
• Sophomore Al Durham just missed double figures with nine points, including a 5-of-5 mark from the foul line. He added a pair of boards and assists to go along with one block and one steal in 30 minutes.
• Junior De'Ron Davis contributed seven points, four rebounds and one steal.
• Sophomore Justin Smith and true freshman Rob Phinisee each scored five points. Smith added five rebounds, three assists and one steal, while Phinisee netted four assists, three rebounds and one steal.
