No. 16 Indiana Rowing Opens Up Spring at Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – The No.16 Indiana Rowing team hit the water for the first time this season at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational on Saturday at the Melton Lake Rowing Venue.

The Hoosiers fared well in the evening session, with the First Varsity 8, First Varsity 4, Second Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 B all finished the line first in their respective races 1V8 crossed the line at 5:36.361, five seconds ahead of Louisville while 2V8 also bested the Cardinals by five seconds 5:42.247.

In the morning session, 1V8 finished just behind Wisconsin and the 2V8 boat finished just a second behind the Badgers at 5:54.826. 1V4 was in first in the first session race at 6:23.419 and the 3V8/N8 boat crossed the finish line in the lead at 6:07.032.

The final day of the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational gets underway for the Hoosiers tomorrow morning at 9:16 a.m. Live results can be found at HereNow.com.
