OPENING TIP
Indiana University concludes its 119th season of competition in men's basketball with its sixth berth to the post season National Invitation Tournament which was established in 1938. The Hoosiers are a #1 seed and will take on #8 seed Saint Francis (Pa.) which finished 18-14 and won the regular season title in the Northeast Conference with a 12-6 record. They lost in the Championship game of the NEC Tournament to Fairleigh Dickinson, 85-76. The winner of this game will face the winner of the game between #4 seed Providence, which is hosting the #5 seed Arkansas on Tuesday night. That game could be played as early as Thursday night.
THE COACHES
Indiana Coach Archie Miller is in his second season of guiding the Cream and Crimson. He has a 33-30 record since taking over the Hoosiers. He is 172-93in 7-plus years as a head coach, which includes 6 years at the University of Dayton. His Flyer teams made NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his last four seasons, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2014. Rob Krimmell is in his 7th year at Saint Francis.
