KEY MOMENTS
• Sophomore Annika Baez put the Hoosiers up in the second inning on a solo home run to right center.
• Following back-to-back one-out walks to sophomores Grayson Radcliffe and Camryn Woodall, sophomore Maddie Westmoreland found a gap in right center, scoring both on a double to make it 3-0.
• Ohio State loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the second on a pair of walks and an IU throwing error. A two-run double by Ashley Prange cut Indiana's lead to 3-2 before the Buckeyes took the lead on a two-run single from Lilli Piper.
• The Hoosiers responded immediately to tie the game at 4-4 as Baez roped a double down the right field line, plating Lacefield who had reached on an OSU error.
• Indiana saw two more come across in the fifth to take a 6-4 lead. After sophomore Taylor Lambert was hit by a pitch, she got to third on junior Gabbi Jenkins' sacrifice bunt as an OSU throwing error let her advance. She scored on a single through the left side by Lacefield. Baez then picked up her third extra base hit of the game on an RBI double off the centerfield wall.
• However, the Buckeyes would take the lead for good in the sixth, plating a trio of runs. Ohio State first cut the IU advantage to 6-5 on an RBI single by Emily Clark. A two-run homer by Kallie Boren gave Ohio State the decisive 7-6 lead.

HEAD COACH SHONDA STANTON
"You never want to give up an early lead on the road and then we made too many errors, both running and on defense. But the nice thing about Big Ten play is you get to come back tomorrow and face them again."
