Game One: Indiana 6, Michigan State 3
KEY MOMENTS
• The Hoosiers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second as an RBI single by senior Sarah Galovich through the left side, scoring sophomore Makayla Ferrari.
• Indiana tacked on a run in the next inning as junior Katie Lacefield double to left center, plating sophomore Taylor Lambert who had reached on a leadoff walk.
• A two-run homer by Lambert doubled the IU lead in the fourth as she sent one over the wall in right center to plate Galovich.
• The Spartans got on the board in the fifth on an RBI groundout by Lexi White.
• A pair of Hoosier runs came across in the bottom of the fifth to push the lead to 6-1. First, Lacefield singled to centerfield, scoring freshman Tete Hart. Then, Galovich again delivered as she plated sophomore Grayson Radcliffe on a double to right center.
• A fielder's choice and groundout put two more Spartan runs on the board in the final frame, but they would get no closer.

• Lambert put up a 3-for-4 showing with two RBI and two runs and her first home run of the season.

• IU made it 6-0 in the second as Jenkins scored on Baez's second hit of the game.
• The Hoosiers opened the floodgates in the third, plating nine runs on five hits and two errors to take a commanding 15-0 lead. First, Westmoreland knocked a leadoff homer to right center. After Radcliffe was hit by a pitch and Galovich drew a walk, Radcliffe came home on an errant throw by the Spartan second baseman. Another Michigan State error proved costly as an overthrow on a grounder by Norton plated Lambert before a single by Lacefield made it 12-0. Radcliffe, in her second at-bat of the inning, then put the exclamation point on the game with a three-run shot to right field.
• The Spartans ended the shutout in the fifth on a bases-loaded walk and sacrifice fly from Caitie Ladd. However, reliever Natalie Foor delivered a strikeout to end the game in five innings.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Senior Tara Trainer earned the victory as she went 4.0 scoreless frames in the start, striking out 10 and allowing just three hits.
• Lambert turned in her second straight 3-for-4 outing at the plate, also scoring a pair of runs.

• Indiana's 15 runs and 15 hits were both a season high. The 15 runs scored is a new best under head coach Shonda Stanton. In addition, Indiana's 13-run margin of victory was the most under Stanton and the largest margin for the program since March 24, 2017 against Rutgers (23-2 victory).
• The run-rule win was Indiana's third of the season and first since Feb. 9 against St. John's.
• Three different pitchers earned a win for IU this weekend – Trainer, Goodin and redshirt junior Josie Wood.
• Indiana improves to 28-10 on the season with a 3-3 Big Ten mark. Indiana's 28 wins has already surpassed last season's total of 26.
HEAD COACH SHONDA STANTON
"As cold as it was, our bats were awful hot. That was the difference on the weekend. The first game, we got down 6-nothing and we rumbled back, scoring 12 in an inning. Today, getting the doubleheader sweep was huge. Goodin did a great job, Tara did her job but offensively, we had so many people step up and clutch up and really produce.
It feels great, I'm happy for Team 46 and I'm happy for our student-athletes. This group is working hard. It was a nice bounce-back weekend and now we have to turn our sights to Michigan. We're heading up there this week so it feels good coming off a Sunday to set the tone for the week."
UP NEXT
Indiana will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. next weekend for a three-game set against Michigan. The first pitch of the series is set for Friday at 5 p.m. and the game will be shown nationally on ESPNU.
