• Freshman Mitch Davis, who is competing as an individual, had the best day of all the IU golfers on Saturday. He opened with a 72 and then followed that up with a 69 – his best score of the season.

• In his first round, Davis double bogeyed his second hole but played the final 16 holes in 2-under par. Then in round two, he had five birdies and one double bogey on his card.

• Junior Brock Ochsenreiter is tied for 22^nd at 1-under par after rounds of 72 and 71. After his opening round that featured four birdies and three bogeys, he was able to rebound after a triple bogey with three straight birdies on holes six, seven and eight.

• Senior Jake Brown is in a tie for 42^nd at 2-over par after his scores of 74 and 72 on Saturday. His 27 pars are tied for the fourth-most in the field through 36 holes.

• Junior Evan Gaesser opened with a 72 and then tallied a 77 in round two to tie for 58^th at 5-over par.

• Freshman Harry Reynolds opened with a 75 and followed it up with a 78 to sit in a tie for 71^st.

• Sophomore Ethan Shepherd is in a tie for 82^nd after scores of 79 and 76 on day one.
