BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 20 Indiana Rowing took home the Dale England Cup for the third-straight season as it battled rain-soaked conditions at Lake Lemon on Saturday morning.

KEY MOMENTS

The Hoosiers took home wins in the First Varsity 8, the Second Varsity 8 and the Varsity 4 for 72 points to win the 11^th annual Dale England Cup. The regatta would start with the point scored events first, as conditions were rainy, windy and choppy throughout the morning. Notre Dame would finish second with 48 points and Michigan State came in third with 42 points.
In the 1V8, Indiana won with a time of 7:14.6, coming in almost six seconds ahead of Notre Dame. IU's 2V8 boat defeated Michigan State by eight seconds (7:39.4) while the 1V4 won by a comfortable margin of 8:23.5 ahead of Michigan State (8:37.16).
The 1N8 was also a solid winner, coming across the finish line with a time of 7:51.7, 24 seconds ahead of Notre Dame. The 2V4 also posted a victory with a time 8:42.70 which was nearly five seconds ahead of Notre Dame.
Indiana would go on to finish second in the Third Varsity 4 (9:06.0) to round out competition for the day.

"Conditions were challenging for all crews. I think our athletes handled it well. I think the lead up to this race, we had some good practice where they were dealing with some of the weather so I think that all plays in to it. We stepped up in the races that we needed to. Michigan State and Notre Dame are great crews and for us to walk away with the Dale England Cup for the third year in a row is great."
