Indiana Ousted in Big Ten Tournament

Ann Arbor, Mich. – The No. 5 seed Indiana men's tennis team (14-12) was eliminated in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament with a loss to the No. 4 seed Michigan Wolverines (17-7), 4-1, on Friday morning inside the Varsity Tennis Center. The Hoosiers won the No. 4 singles match in the effort.
At doubles, Michigan pulled away late from IU at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots, taking those positions and the first point.
In singles, Carson Haskins won his first set on No. 4, 6-1, but the Wolverines handled the first sets on the first three courts.
On the third court, the Wolverines extend their lead to 2-0 when Mattias Siimar won 6-1, 6-1.
IU cut that lead in half when Haskins prevailed on No. 4 with a 6-1, 7-5 win. Haskins won the 20th match of his freshman season and 10th match in dual play.
Before the Hoosiers could continue their comeback, Michigan wrapped up the match by taking the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in straight sets.
