AUSTIN, Texas – No. 16 Indiana had all four boats advance to the A Finals as it raced in the first session of the Longhorn Invitational on Friday night at Walter E. Long Lake.

KEY MOMENTS

All four Hoosier boats advanced to tomorrow's A Finals after changes in the schedule put teams out on the water for the first session on Friday night.
The Second Varsity Four boat earning the first spot of the night, coming in with the second-fastest time of the night (7:32.200) behind Texas. They defeated No. 20 Oklahoma in their heat to go to tomorrow's A Final.
In the Varsity Fours, Indiana's time in the first heat of 7:30.250 pushed them in to the A Final coming in behind host No. 4 Texas and USC.
Indiana was also impressive in the Second Varsity Eights, placing second on the night with a time of 6:45.760 to again take its boat to the A Final in that race.
Closing out the night, the Varsity Eight finished a head of the Trojans and just behind Texas with a time of 6:29.530.

"Today was a very good day. We had some very concrete goals we came into this race that we wanted to achieve, and our athletes did just that. Coming away with three second place finishes to No. 4 Texas and one third place finish was a really good showing for our crews. I am very proud how they handled the schedule changes and conditions and dimply went out and rowed the way I knew they could. Now, we have a very quick turnaround to get ready for the A Final early tomorrow morning for all of our crews as we go up against the Longhorns, No. 10 Virginia and No. 13 Iowa."
