Tough Conditions Hamper Scores in Round Two at Big Ten Championship

• With winds gusting to 25+ miles per hour on Saturday, the scores across the board were dramatically inflated for round two of the Big Ten Championship. In round one, the overall average score was 74.43 and in round two that increased to 78.30.

• Indiana posted a team score of 312 on Saturday to drop two places to eighth place heading into the final round.

• Freshman Mitch Davis posted a 5-over par round of 75 on Saturday – over three shots better than the field average – to move up into a tie for 19^th place at 10-over par for the tournament. He recorded two birdies on the back nine as he shot an impressive 37 on that nine. On the front nine, he had a double bogey on No. 1 and a bogey on No. 6 and seven pars for a 38.

• Junior Brock Ochsenreiter started on the back nine and was 2-over when he made the turn. But on the front nine, the wind played a role in his score and he finished with a 77. That puts him at 11-over par (151) through two rounds and a tie for 24^th.

• Sophomore Ethan Shepherd is tied for 29^th at 12-over par through two rounds after an 80 in round two.

• Senior Jake Brown is one shot behind Shepherd at 13-over par to earn a tie for 34^th following his 81 in round two.

• Junior Evan Gaesser, who substituted into the lineup for Harry Reynolds after round one, was just two over after his first eight holes but would go on to post an 80.
