Three Boats Finish Third To Highlight Hoosiers At Big Ten Championships

BARABOO, Wis. – Three third place finishes helped Indiana to its sixth-straight Top 5 finish at the Big Ten Championships on Sunday at Devil's Lake. The Second Varsity 8, First Varsity Four and First Novice 8 all took home bronze as Indiana finished fifth with 98 team points.

KEY MOMENTS
- Indiana marked its sixth-straight Top 5 finish thanks to two third-place finishes in the 2V8 (6:39.971) and the 1V4 (7:23.147). It was the best ever finish for the First Varsity Four in school history and marked the Second Varsity's best finish at Big Ten Championships since 2015-16.
- Starting off the event in reverse order due to potential weather conditions, the First Varsity 8 finished seventh (6:36.894). In the Second Varsity 4, Indiana came in fourth (7:40.900) just two seconds behind third place Ohio State. In a tight race, the Third Varsity 4 boat was just .154 behind Wisconsin to finish fifth (7:47.621).
- Junior Abigail Bogovich was named to the All-Big Ten First Team while Madison Wright earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors. Maggie Bornhorst was named the team's Big Ten Sportsmanship award winner.
- Michigan won the team title with 186 points. Ohio State (171), Wisconsin (109), Rutgers (107) and Indiana (98) rounded out the top five. Iowa (78), Michigan State (67) and Minnesota (46) closed out the field.
