Williams & Michalski Survive and Advance on Day One of NCAA Championships

AUSTIN, Texas— Cooper Williams and Daniel Michalski live to see another day at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships as Indiana wraps up day one at national championships.
Michalski will compete in the men's steeplechase final Friday after clocking a time of 8:41.62. His qualifying time was the second fastest of the day. In dramatic fashion Williams was able to punch himself an automatic qualifying ticket to the final on Friday after taking second in his heat with a time of 1:47.76.
