
IUXC Places First and Third at Miami Opener; Moore Wins Individual Title

OXFORD, Ohio. – Indiana Cross Country concluded their stint at the Miami Opener by picking up first and third place team finishes. Hunter Moore also picked up an individual title in the men's race.
In the men's field, Moore clocked a time of 25:46.6 to win the race. Teammate Skylar Stidam made his debut in an IU uniform as he took second with a time of 25:54.9. Keelan Grant crossed the finish line fifth overall in a time of 25:57.1. Coming off a solid freshman season, Reese Jordan picked up a sixth-place finish as he crossed in a time of 26:03.6. Jake Gebhardt finished right behind Jordan in seventh with a time of 26:06.2. Ben Miller rounded the Hoosiers that placed in the top 10 with a ninth-place effort and a time of 26:11.6.
Colin Murphy had a solid day, finishing 13th with a time of 26:19.3. Matthew Schadler rounded out the top 20 as he saw a time of 26:26.4.
Aaron Bennett (27:13.0) and Teddy Browning (28:46.6) also saw competition today as they placed 39th and 60th, respectively.
On the women's side, Abi Little led the Hoosiers with a seventh-place finish in a time of 22:00.5. Finishing close behind and making her IU debut was freshman teammate Mikaela Ramirez who clocked a time of 22:01.7. Grace Walther had a strong performance as she raced to an 11th place finish with a time of 22:17.3. Jenna Barker also made her Cream & Crimson debut and placed 16th overall in a time of 22:25.5. Joely Pinkston opened up her junior season with a 28th place showing and clocked a time of 23:05.8. Redshirt freshman Ana Barrott rounded out the field of Hoosiers as she placed 37th with a time of 23:37.3.
Indiana returns to the course in Nashville, Tenn. on Saturday Sept. 14 when they compete in the Commodore Classic. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. EST.
