Indiana Closes Out Non-Conference Play at UT Martin, Kentucky

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Women's Soccer (2-3-0) closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule this week with trips to UT Martin (2-2-2) and Kentucky (4-0-2).
Both games will be available for streaming on ESPN+ and SEC Network +, respectively.
SCOUTING THE SKYHAWKS
• UT Martin is returning from a four-game road swing as the Skyhawks haven't played in Martin since Aug. 25. Last time out, the Skyhawks picked up a 2-1 win at Middle Tennessee on Sunday. The other victory of the year came against Arkansas State in the opener. Jill Hildreth leads the team in scoring with four goals and an assist. Baylee Arnott has also found the back of the net twice. In goal, Erica Myers has played every minute, collecting 36 saves with a 1.71 goals against average.
• Thursday's game marks the first-ever meeting between Indiana and UT Martin. The Hoosiers are 4-1-1 all-time against Ohio Valley Conference opponents, including a 2-1 loss against Murray State (Aug. 30) and Sunday's 5-0 win against Morehead State.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
• Kentucky is undefeated on the year and currently riding a four-game winning streak, including three straight shutouts. The Wildcats will travel to Eastern Kentucky on Thursday before hosting IU. Kentucky is led in scoring by Hannah Richardson and Jordyn Rhodes, who have each scored four goals. Steph Stull has played every minute between the pipes, making 17 saves with a 0.78 goals against average and four shutouts.
• Indiana leads the all-time series, 5-4-1. Last year, the Hoosiers came away with a 5-1 victory in Bloomington, including goals from Allison Jorden and Melanie Forbes.
LAST TIME OUT
• Indiana shut out Morehead State on Sunday at home, 5-0. Chandra Davidson and Avery Lockwood each scored twice while Alaina Kalin also found the back of the net. It was the second brace of Davidson's career.
• The Hoosiers didn't allow a single shot against the Eagles, the first time an IU team has done that since Sept. 18, 2009 against Green Bay.
IMMEDIATE IMPACT
• Four freshmen have earned starts so far this season – Alaina Kalin, Avery Lockwood, Bria Telemaque and Jaimie Tottleben. In addition, sophomore transfer Oliwia Wos has also started each of the first five contests.
• Lockwood and Kalin each scored their first career goals on Sunday. Kalin added her first career assist, as did freshman Jaimie Tottleben and sophomores Madeline Carlson and Megan Wampler.
ROAD WARRIORS
• Of Indiana's seven non-conference games on the schedule, just two have been played home (UIC and Morehead State).
• Indiana's non-conference road slate includes three different states - North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.
NEWS AND NOTES
• Junior goalkeeper Bethany Kopel has 199 saves in her career, good for fifth all-time at Indiana. In addition, her 11.0 shutouts are tied for sixth all-time in program history, while her 16 victories are seventh.
• Davidson earned the title of team captain for the season.

• Indiana opens Big Ten action next weekend by hosting Iowa (Sept. 20) and Nebraska (Sept. 22).
