HEAD COACH ERWIN VAN BENNEKOM
"It was a tale of two halves really. We struggled in the first half and couldn't get any consistent build up in moving our team and the ball up the field. Because we were losing the ball so low up the field, we got caught on two thoughts defensively.
"I'm proud of the way we played ourselves back into the game in the second half and I think ultimately, based on the amount of chances, we put ourselves in position to win. Hats off to UT Martin, they are a very well coached team with some very good players."
UP NEXT
The Hoosiers close out the non-conference slate on Sunday afternoon as they visit Kentucky (5-0-2). The game will begin at 2 p.m. and be streamed on SEC Network+.
