
Hoosiers Open Conference Play at Home vs. No. 19 Iowa, Nebraska

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— Indiana Women's Soccer (4-3-0) opens up conference play this weekend against No. 19 Iowa (8-0-0) and Nebraska (1-4-2) at home. Seniors Chandra Davidson and Meghan Scott will be celebrated before the contest on Friday vs. Iowa.
Both games will be available for streaming on BTN+.
SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES
•Iowa is undefeated to start conference play and are ranked No. 19 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches poll. They also check in at No. 21 in Top Draw Soccer's latest rankings. The Hawkeyes are led in scoring by Devin Burns and Hannah Drkulewho have recorded four goals each. Claire Graves has spent 675 minutes protecting the net and has only let up six goals with .80 goals against average through eight games. She leads the Big Ten in shutouts with five so far this season.
• The Hawkeyes lead the all-time series 11-9-1. Last season, Iowa received the edge, 3-1 in Iowa City.
SCOUTING THE HUSKERS
• Nebraska is coming off a two game home stand where they faced Oklahoma and Gonzaga. They played the Sooners to a tie before falling to the Zags on Sunday. The Huskers will open up conference play at Purdue before facing the Hoosiers in Bloomington Sunday. Sinclaire Miramontez leads the squad in goals with two while also being the season point leader with four.
• The Huskers hold a 7-1-1 advantage in the all-time series. Last season Nebraska scored two late goals in regulation to force overtime in Lincoln that would lead to a 4-3 outcome by Nebraska.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Hoosiers went 2-0 in the final nonconference weekend of the season. On Thursday Indiana traveled to UT Martin where Oliwia Wos scored her first career goal and game winner to give the Hoosiers a 2-1 victory. In Lexington, Ky. on Sunday, Melanie Forbes scored an early goal that proved to be the difference in the contest as Indiana received the edge, 1-0.
NONCONFERENCE WRAPUP
• The Hoosiers ended non-conference play on a three-game win streak. The carry a 4-3 record that includes wins over UIC, Morehead State, UT Martin, and Kentucky.
• Of Indiana's seven non-conference games on the schedule, just two were played home (UIC and Morehead State).
• Indiana's non-conference road slate included three different states - North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.
SENIOR CELEBRATION
• The Hoosiers will host senior day on Friday vs. No. 19 Iowa. Captain Chandra Davidson and Meghan Scott with both be honored down on the field prior to the match.
• Chandra Davidson is the current leading career goal scorer. She has scored 12 goals – including five game-winner - and added 9 assists.
• Meghan Scott has started every game she has played in. Her 12 career assists ranks 10th in program history, while she has also added three goals.
PROMOTIONS
• Fans that arrive before halftime for Friday's contest will have the opportunity to stay for the men's soccer match vs. Wisconsin at 5:30 p.m. at no cost.
• On Sunday, Indiana Women's Soccer will be giving away IU mini flags to the first 250 fans in attendance.

• Four freshmen have earned starts so far this season – Alaina Kalin, Avery Lockwood, Bria Telemaque and Jaimie Tottleben. In addition, sophomore transfer Oliwia Wos has also started each of the first five contests.
• Lockwood and Kalin each scored their first career goals on Sunday. Kalin added her first career assist, as did freshman Jaimie Tottleben and sophomores Madeline Carlson and Megan Wampler.
