NOTABLES
• Junior forward Nicolette Kapsalis earned her first start of her career in Sunday's match.
• Indiana earned the shot advantage 11-10 over Nebraska.
• Freshman midfielder Avery Lockwood led the Hoosiers in shooting with four including one that was on target.
HEAD COACH ERWIN VAN BENNEKOM
"This one is tough to take because we never really found a rhythm of play. Part of that is due to Nebraska's organized press but a big part is on me by not preparing the team well enough as well as our players on the field for not playing with enough courage. We lacked movement, communication and creativity to play out of the pressure. Really proud of how we fought and worked ourselves back into the game in the second half. I felt that we created enough good scoring opportunities to get more out of the game. We will work and get better."
UP NEXT
The Hoosiers will see their first Big Ten conference road test at Michigan State on Friday Sept. 27 at 7p before heading to Michigan on Sunday Sept. 29. The contest against the Wolverines is slated for 1p.
