MADISON, Wis. – Indiana women's golf tied for fourth in the stroke play portion of the East-West Match Play. The tiebreaker went to Texas Tech so the Hoosiers will compete in Tuesday's match play as the No. 5 seed. IU was led by Mary Parsons, who finished stroke play tied for third place.

• After posting a 297 in the first round, the Hoosiers improved that score by 10 strokes in the final 18 holes of the day.

• Mary Parsons opened play by carding three birdies and finishing 1-under-par in the first round. She followed that up with three more birdies, as well as an eagle on hole No. 15 to end the day tied for third at 3-under-par.

• Priscilla Schmid and Alexis Miestowski both finished tied for seventh after shooting an even-144.

• In the first round, Schmid birdied a pair of holes on the front nine to offset a pair of bogeys. She collected three more birdies in the second round.

• Miestowski birdied three times in both rounds, including three on the front nine in the second round. She led the field in par-3 scoring (-2), averaging a 2.80.

• After a tough first round, Anni Eisenhut improved her second-round score by nine strokes, carding a 1-over-par in the final 18. Eisenhut birdied three holes on the back nine.

• Elisa Pierre sits at 49^th place at 11-over-par. Pierre shot an 83 in both rounds of the day.

• Competing as an individual, Angela Aung is tied for 42^nd. After shooting a 9-over-par in the first round, Pierre improved by strokes in the final round highlighted by a birdie on hole No. 2.

• Valerie Clancy was a late scratch for the Hoosiers as an individual.
