Women's Soccer Returns Home to Host Morehead State

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Women's Soccer (1-3-0) returns home to Bill Armstrong Stadium this Sunday as the Hoosiers host Morehead State (1-3-0) at 1 p.m. 
 
Admission to all home games is free of charge. In addition, the game will be streamed on BTN Plus.
 
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
• Morehead State is coming off a double overtime loss to Miami (Ohio) on Friday night. The Eagles' lone win of the season came against Akron on Sept. 1. A common opponent with the Hoosiers included a meeting with Louisville on Aug. 25, which the Cardinals won, 3-0. The three Eagle goals on the year have come from Nicole Palmer, Tia Williams and Gabby Nastasi. Morehead State has used a pair of goalkeepers this season - Kayla Landman (2.33 GAA, 16 saves) and Grace Gaffney (1.83 GAA, 4 saves).
 
• Sunday's game marks the first-ever meeting between Indiana and Morehead State. The Hoosiers are 3-1-1 all-time against Ohio Valley Conference opponents, including a 2-1 loss against Murray State earlier this season on Aug. 30.
 
PROMOTIONS
• The first 150 fans at Sunday's game will receive a free Kona Ice Snow Cone.
 
• In addition, during halftime one lucky fan will be awarded a free Yeti cooler during a drawing.
 
LAST TIME OUT
• Indiana traveled to Louisville on Thursday night, falling to the Cardinals, 1-0. The Louisville game-winner came on a penalty kick in the 78th minute of action.
 
• The last time the Hoosiers played at home they came away with a 1-0 victory against UIC on Aug. 25.
 
IMMEDIATE IMPACT
• Four freshmen have earned starts so far this season – Alaina Kalin, Avery Lockwood, Bria Telemaque and Jaimie Tottleben. Telemaque got her first career start against the Cardinals on Thursday. In addition, sophomore transfer Oliwia Wos has also started each of the first four contests.
 
ROAD WARRIORS
• Of Indiana's seven non-conference games, just two will be played at home (UIC and Morehead State).
 
• Indiana's non-conference road slate includes three different states - North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.

• Dating back to last season, Indiana is 6-2-1 at Armstrong Season.
 
• Junior goalkeeper Bethany Kopel has 199 saves in her career, good for fifth all-time at Indiana. In addition, her 10.0 shutouts are good for seventh all-time in program history, as are her 15 victories.
 
• Davidson earned the title of team captain for the season.
 
• The 2019 broadcast schedule was announced last week as the Hoosiers will see a pair of games broadcast live on Big Ten Network - Penn State (Oct. 10) and Maryland (Oct. 17).
