Hoosiers Set for Match Against Notre Dame

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The Indiana men's tennis team is back at home this weekend as the Hoosiers will host Notre Dame on Saturday Feb. 1 at 3:00 p.m. at the IU Tennis Center.
A look at the Fighting Irish
Notre Dame is 2-2 on the season with wins against Purdue and Florida Atlantic and defeats against Arizona and Kentucky. At the ITA Kickoff last week, Notre Dame lost 4-2 against Arizona, but rebounded for a 4-0 victory against Florida Atlantic. Last year Notre Dame finished 17-15 overall and 5-7 in ACC competition. The Fighting Irish lost in the first round of the NCAA Championships against Vanderbilt.
Last Time Out
Last time out the Hoosiers traveled to Austin, Texas for the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Hoosiers took on No. 1 Texas and came within a tiebreaker of winning the doubles point. Texas won the match 4-0 and the Hoosiers moved on to face Vanderbilt, where they won the doubles point, but ultimately fell, 4-2.
2018-19 Season in Review
The Hoosiers finished 14-12 overall and 6-5 in Big Ten matches. Senior Antonio Cembellin earned All-Big Ten First Team Honors.
Crane Finishes Runner-Up at ITA Regional Championships
Senior Bennett Crane defeated the No. 1 seed on his way to a runner-up finish at the ITA Regional Championships. With his finish at the regional tournament, Crane qualified for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
