NOTES
- Four starters return from the 2019-20 campaign that saw the Indiana women's basketball program record a school record 24 win and advancing to the 2020 Big Ten Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2006.
- Highlighting the returners are senior guard Ali Patberg and junior guard Grace Berger. The duo has pulled in a variety of preseason honors including both earning spots on the preseason All-Big Ten team.
- Patberg is also a watch list candidate on the Nancy Lieberman Award for the nation's top point guard, where she was one of 10 finalists last year. In addition, she earned spots on the Wade Trophy watch list and Jersey Mikes Naismith Player Top 50 watch list.
- Berger was selected as a watch list candidate for the Cheryl Miller Award for the nation's top small forward and redshirt junior Nicole Cardaño-Hillary is one of 20 on the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watch list for the nation's top shooting guard.
- Indiana selected to win the Big Ten this season in a vote by the conference's head coaches and media. It marks the first time in school history the Hoosiers have been picked to win the Big Ten.
- IU will kick off the 2020-21 season with their highest ever preseason rankings in both the Associated Press Top 25 (No. 16) and USA Today/WBCA Coaches poll (No. 15).
- Consistent with IU Athletics' ongoing efforts to protect the health and safety of students, coaches, staff, spectators and the local community, all men's and women's basketball games scheduled at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall - will be played without fans indefinitely. IU Athletics' decision is in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and is consistent with what has transpired on all Big Ten campuses during the 2020 football season. IU Athletics will continue to work with local and state health officials, the Big Ten, and campus leadership to determine if and when fans will be permitted to attend men's and women's basketball games at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall during the 2020-21 season.
