Non-Conference Action Rounds Out Against Western Carolina On Sunday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The non-conference portion of the 2025-26 schedule comes to a close on Sunday when IU faces Western Carolina at 1 p.m. ET.

Western Carolina hasn't seen the win column since Nov. 9 and most recently fell to 0-4 on the road this season in a 77-62 loss at Garner-Webb. Redshirt sophomore guard Ally Hollifield had a team-high 13 points against the Bulldogs and leads the Catamounts in scoring (11.7 ppg.). Sophomore guard Taj Hunter (11.4 ppg.) added 12 points on Saturday. The Catamounts are averaging 59.0 points per game while shooting 35.3 percent from the floor.

- For the seventh-straight game, senior guard Shay Ciezki led Indiana with 25 points as Indiana defeated Eastern Michigan, 74-67, on Sunday, Dec. 14. Redshirt sophomore guard Lenée Beaumont added 15 points while junior forward Edessa Noyan had 13 points on a 6-for-8 performance.
- Ciezki and freshman forward Maya Makalusky combined to sweep the weekly Big Ten Player of the Week awards on Dec. 15. Ciezki notched her second Big Ten Player of the Week honor averaging 28.0 points, shot 61.8 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent from the 3-point line. Makalusky moved into the starting lineup with a bang, recording a career-high 22 points against ULM and knocking down nine 3-pointers in two games.
- Indiana improved to 7-0 with wins over ULM and Eastern Michigan last week. During that span, the Hoosiers are averaging 74.9 points per game on its home court, allowing just 54.3 (+20.6). They are shooting 48.6 percent at home and 37.6 percent from beyond the arc. IU currently ranks eighth in attendance in NCAA Division I this season (7,511 per game).
