NOTES
- Indiana will play for the first time in eight days after cruising to a season opening win over Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 25, 100-51.
- Junior guard Grace Berger recorded the program's first ever triple-double in the win, with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. It marked the second-ever triple-double in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall history (Juwan Morgan, 2018). It's also the 18th recorded triple-double in a season opener in NCAA history. Her efforts also earned her a spot on the Big Ten Player of the Week honor roll.
- Sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes also had an impressive showing in the season opener, going a perfect 13-for-13 from the floor in the victory over EKU. It set a new school record for single game field goal percentage and ties the Big Ten record set by Iowa's Megan Gustafson set in 2018. Holmes finished the night with a new career-high 26 points and eight rebounds along with another new career-high seven blocks.
- Redshirt junior guard/forward Danielle Patterson made her IU debut by scoring 14 points and going 5-for-8 from the floor in last week's season opener.
- Senior guard Ali Patberg was named as one of 30 preseason candidates to the 2021 John R. Wooden Award presented by Wendy's on Tuesday. In the season opener, Patberg notched her 1,000th career point at IU to become the 28th player in program history to do so.
- Indiana selected to win the Big Ten this season in a vote by the conference's head coaches and media. It marks the first time in school history the Hoosiers have been picked to win the Big Ten. In addition, Patberg and Berger were each preseason All-Big Ten selections.
