Hoosiers Fall Against No. 41 Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Indiana women's tennis team dropped their Big Ten opener on the road at No. 41 Northwestern, 4-0 on Friday.
The Hoosiers (8-5) had early leads of 3-2 and 3-1 at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, but couldn't hold on as Northwestern won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to claim the doubles point.
The Wildcats (5-4) won singles matches at No. 1 singles, No. 3 singles and No. 6 singles to clinch the match.
At the point the matches were stopped, Jelly Bozovic led 4-2 in her second set, Alexandra Staiculescu was tied 6-6 and Michelle McKamey trailed 6-5.
Up next the Hoosiers host Penn State on Sunday March 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the IU Tennis Center.
