Hoosiers Travel to Navy, Host Tennessee, Eastern Michigan

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– It will be a busy weekend for the Indiana women's tennis team. The Hoosiers make the trek to Annapolis for take on Navy on Friday and return to Bloomington to host Tennessee and Eastern Michigan on Sunday.

Last Time Out for the Hoosiers
The Hoosiers captured a pair of wins in a doubleheader on Sunday February 2 at the IU Tennis Center. In the morning Indiana swept Xavier 4-0 and then came back to beat Western Michigan, 4-1. Against Xavier the doubles points came down to a tiebreak with the Hoosiers winning the point. Indiana then won two singles matches in straight sets and at No. 1 singles Caitlin Bernard prevailed clinched the match with a three-set win. Against Western Michigan Indiana won the doubles point with 6-2 and 6-3 wins. In singles, Bernard, Annabelle Andrinopoulos and Michelle McKamey won matches for the Hoosiers.

The Hoosiers have seven different seven with five or more singles wins on the season, led by Alexandra Staiculescu and Michelle McKamey with eight wins eacg. In doubles Michelle McKamey and Lexi Kubas have combined for an 8-1 record and Annabelle Andrinopoulos and Jelly Bozovic are a combined 9-4 on the season.
2018-19 Season in Review
The Hoosiers finished 16-11 overall and 6-5 in Big Ten dual matches last season. Seniors Madison Appel and Natalie Whalen earned All-Big Ten Honors.
