MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Indiana men's tennis team fell 4-2 against Middle Tennessee State on Friday.

The Hoosiers (3-3) got off to a strong start as they won the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles and a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.

Middle Tennessee State rebounded to win the first three singles matches and take a 3-1 lead. Bennett Crane brought the Hoosiers within one at 3-2 with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.

Middle Tennessee clinched the match with a three-set win at No. 2 singles.

Up next the Hoosiers host UC Santa Barbara and Xavier on Monday February 17 at the IU Tennis Center.
