Hoosiers Split Matches vs. Tennessee, Eastern Michigan

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The Indiana women's tennis team fell against No. 20 Tennessee, 4-0, but rebounded for a 7-0 sweep of Eastern Michigan on Sunday at the IU Tennis Center.

Against Tennessee, the Hoosiers (5-3) lost the doubles point and Tennessee won singles matches at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4.

Michelle McKamey won her first set against Tennessee and was up 3-1 in the second set when her match was stopped.

The Hoosiers won 6-0 at No. 3 doubles and 6-4 at No. 2 doubles to win the doubles point against Eastern Michigan.

Indiana won all six singles matches in straight sets, dropping 21 games over the six matches.

Caitlin Bernard was the first to finish with a 6-0, 6-2 win. Annabelle Andrinopoulos won on a deuce point to win her second set 6-0 and win the match. Alexandra Staiculecu and Michelle McKamey each won their second sets 6-0. Mila Mejic and Xiawei "Rose" Hu also won matches for the Hoosiers.

Indiana goes back on the road next weekend for matches against Cornell and Yale.
