Hoosiers Fall at No. 24 Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis fell on the road at No. 24 Notre Dame, 6-1 on Friday.

The Hoosiers drop to 9-6 overall for the season and 1-1 in Big Ten matches.

The Hoosiers No. 2 doubles team of Caitlin Bernard and Alexandra Staiculescu won 6-4, but Notre Dame won the remaining two doubles matches to clinch the doubles point.

Notre Dame built early momentum in singles, but the Hoosiers fought back and won two second sets in breakers. After dropping her first set, 6-2, Caitlin Bernard led 3-0 in her second set before falling 7-5.

Jelly Bozovic recorded a three-set victory for the Hoosiers with a 2-6, 7-6 (7-3), 1-0 (10-4) victory.

Up next the Hoosiers host DePaul and Miami (Ohio) on Sunday March 8 at the IU Tennis Center.
